I have a fair weather hobby, rural exploration. I take photos of abandoned farm houses here in Ontario. I moderate (somewhat) a group on Flickr, called Ontario Rural Ruins, if you would like a look at the photos from myself and others. I had a coffee date with a guy who has an interest in the paranormal and the supernatural. Things like ghosts, the Loch Ness Monster (known as Kempenfelt Kelly in the Barrie area or cryptozoology to the scientifically bent in general). I was looking forward to meeting him. For me it’s something about the people who built the places and how they had so much promise, hope, potential and now are left to the elements.
I like the way this photo looks. I took it to get a closer look at whatever that is in the field behind the shed. I think it’s a car. Anyone looking for a ride?
